Dispatcher

Job description

Flight Dispatcher

As a member of the operational team you are expected to;

  • Analyse and determine route and flight altitude requirements for each flight, based on most economical route, taking in to consideration meteorological conditions, safety, and legal requirements of the Iraqi Civil Aviation operations and the Fly Baghdad Operations Manual (OM)-A.
  • Ensure selection of take-off, destination, enroute, fuel, alternate airports for each Fly Baghdad flight, ensuring all legal requirements are met. Analyse and calculate take-off and landing performance data based on airport and meteorological conditions and technical assessment of the aircraft. Optimize the commercial payload capability by adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and file ATC flight plans and ensure that Operational Flight Plan and all briefing material is provided to operating crews in a timely manner for briefing at base and outstations. Monitor, analyse and manage all ATC slots to avoid potential delays, negotiate with relevant centralized ATC units, Airport Authorities and respective Air Navigation Service Providers worldwide. Provide in flight watch during operational phase of flight. Apply & coordinate the landing & overflying permits for the intended flights of Fly Baghdad.
Qualifications:
  • Flight Dispatcher License issued as per Annex 6, ICAO DOC 7196-D3, approved by a Regulatory Authority.
  • Active flight dispatcher performing flight planning duties for international/domestic flights.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • 2+ Years general airline experience as a flight dispatcher performing Flight Dispatch functions.
  • Proficiency in computerized Flight Planning systems, Flight Watch and Operations Control.
  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures of an airline’s flight operations department.
  • Knowledge of the flight dispatch and flight crew briefing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

Director Of Engineering

Job description
Director of Engineering

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Engineering is primarily responsible for delivering the Airworthiness of the Fly Baghdad fleet in accordance with EASA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the Engineering team with regard to Airworthiness in delivering the required outputs in line with Regulatory requirements
  • Provide direction and set departmental objectives in line with regulatory and Company requirements
  • Establish the combined Planning team to develop improved strategic and short term planning primarily in support of the fleet
  • Ensure a strategic long term plan is maintained and that this is used to drive budget planning
  • Ensure standard plans for typical inputs are developed and maintained along with the equivalent material and tooling pre-loads
  • Maintain oversight of the daily maintenance support operation through oversight of Maintrol
  • Provide direction and support to the department to ensure effective and timely support to the flying programmer
  • Establish and develop the Tech Services Engineering Team to meet the needs of the airline
  • Provide direction and support to the department to ensure effective and timely support to the cost effective and compliant maintenance primarily of the fleet
  • Establish and develop reliability reporting for the Fleet
  • Ensure reports are generated to the timeline required and that the content and format is to the standard agreed
  • Maintain oversight of the upkeep of the ARC programme for the fleet
  • Develop and maintain the ARC programme and ensure resource is available to deliver to the plan
  • Maintain the CAME in line with regulatory requirements achieved through minimum of an annual formal and documented review
  • Assess the aircraft delivery and return contract conditions
  • Work with the Legal department and specialist external lawyers to ensure that the aircraft lease or purchase conditions, and if applicable the return conditions, are acceptable and at least in line with standard industry practice, if not better
  • Assess possible aircraft purchases and leases for suitability against the airline requirements
  • Lead the identification of aircraft specification differences and/or requirements to ensure that the aircraft meet both the regulatory requirements and the airline operational requirements
  • Communicate effectively with the aircraft suppliers/manufacturers and or lessors ensuring the airline requirements are clear
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the suppliers and lessors at all levels enabling effective cross party communication
  • Lead and direct the Part 21J element of the team
  • Ensure compliance with Part 21J requirements in line with the Company approval

Emergency Response

  • Being prepared to respond, in a crisis, as an Engineering representative and maintaining knowledge of the emergency response programme policies, processes and procedures, as defined by the Emergency Response

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous extensive experience of aircraft technical requirements for operation under EASA and CAA regulations
  • Demonstration of direct previous aircraft delivery and handback management
  • Previous experience of managing new aircraft assessments, technical specifications and cost models
  • Experience in delivery of engineering projects to agreed time and cost constraints
  • Extensive management experience in an aircraft maintenance operational environment
  • Aircraft engineering apprenticeship/HNC/Experienced Part M Practitioner/Degree or Licensed Engineer

Store Keeper

 Job description
We are currently looking for an experienced Store Keeper to support the Tool Crib within our prestigious client’s aviation operation situated in the Baghdad.
Essential Skills and Experience

The Store Keeper will be responsible for all store activities involved in maintaining an effective tool crib; such as, issuing, receiving, binning, preloading and general housekeeping duties for all tools.

In order to be considered for this position you must have at least 3 years’ experience in aircraft stores and at least one year experience in tooling.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, bin and issue materials, tools and equipment as per TPM
  • Check for damages, shortages and incorrect materials and report to Supervisor
  • Ensure correct labeling for those parts that require binning/issuing.
  • Assign Primary Receipt Numbers to register incoming shipments
  • Assist in performing the inspection of material
  • Releasing spares through in-house systems
  • Use powered material handling equipment (e.g. forklift) as and when appropriate.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or in bins.
  • Ensure return material is compliant
  • Notify supervisor of any stock discrepancies
  • Monitoring of record keeping for all export shipment for audit purposes and providing monthly statistics of such movements to relevant departments
  • Should ensure packing of materials is carried out as per procedures
  • Coordinate the outbound shipments

The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern as per the business requirements.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Minimum 3 years experience in aviation stores environment, ideally with tooling:

  • General knowledge of logistics, warehousing procedures and statutory regulations.

Store inspector

 Job description
  • Assist with the cleanliness, tidiness and upkeep of the Leading Edge Maintenance Stores;
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the stores;
  • Ensure the incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and
  • storage according to the manufacturers recommendations and any EASA/CAA regulations;
  • Assist the Stores Supervisor with performing periodic checks on personnel tool boxes and maintain appropriate records;
  • Raise and transmit Purchase Orders (POs) and allocate to correct work numbers.

MCC Engineer

 Job description

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Control Centre duty engineers is to:

  • Monitor 24/7 Aircraft Fleet technical status in real time
  • Minimize time of rectification defects, including MEL/CDL and deferred defects items
  • Provide immediate expert advice and guidance to pilots on interpretation of MEL dispatch and technical trouble shooting. The role is the primary interface between the maintenance department and the flight crew on a day to day basis
  • Ensure correct coordination setup between Short Term Planning (STP) and AOG recovery
  • Communicate in real time with Operations Control Center (OCC) to minimize schedule disruption
  • Report to the Daily Operations Manager (DOM), and ultimately to the Senior Maintenance Manager (SMM)

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • ICAO type II or EASA license on B737 NG and CRJ (preferable)
  • Five years relevant work experience in line maintenance, including depth troubleshooting experience
  • Previous maintenance control and/or line maintenance experience would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in intense environment
  • Fluent English.
